HBO apologizes for "Game of Thrones" putting George W. Bush's severed head on a stake.

I don't happen to feel any particular amount of outrage about this, but in a world where some idiots pointed at Sarah Palin's map as a possible inspiration for the Giffords shooting, it bears highlighting.

This "tone" was awfully appealing to the Romney campaign, who has copied it and taken it to the next level.
