Giada is pretty, but there is something about the way that she speaks that is vaguely annoying.

Besides Iron Chef and Good Eats, I have never heard of most of these shows. I haven't watched the FN lately.

4ever, is the big southern lady Paula Deen? I haven't seen the Barefoot Contessa show, but I heard that he cookbooks are very good.

I'm a fan of the food network. I have Everyday Italian and 30-minute meals tivod for those days when I want to cook something new, so I can easily flip through and see if they look good. I set up my Tivo to record the Next Food Network Star, but never really got into it.

FWIW, Kelsey Nixon that was recently on the next Food Network Star reality show is a recent BYU grad. Apparently she was just eliminated though. Too bad.
