Similarly they treat the teaching that the Garden of Eden is located in Misssouri as if we pray to the Gods of Jackson County for deliverence.

That's just silly. Deliverance takes place in Georgia on the Cahulawassee River.

Also silly: "Dueling Banjos" is a duet between a banjo and a guitar.

Good point.

But then "Duel between a guitar and a banjo" is a bit long for a title and if it would have been "Dueling guitars", folks may have thought it was the rhythm section of a Mariachi band and that wouldn't have fit well in the south either.

But since he can't afford to go that way, he has to jump into the mud himself. Not wise.

A rare moment of agreement, Mike. This is the definition of a cheap shot, and it's poor form indeed.

If it's Huckabee vs. Hillary, we may find the first election in Tex History where I elect not to vote at all. Fortunately, moments like this make me think that the Republican base is smart enough not to select this kind of a candidate.

We are accused all the time of having wierd beliefs. Well, IMHO other Christians have weird beliefs. I mean how many of the Christian world believe there are going to be 144,000 JW's caught up to meet Jesus in the sky.

How many Christians, if you include Catholics, yell out praise the Lord and hallelujah while someone is giving the opening prayer. How many Christians have a band playing "daytripper" for the opening song.

They are only weird beliefs because they differ from someone elses. My response would be, haven't you ever heard of two brothers having differing opinions. Seems quite reasonable to me that someone who has so much power, Satan, would not have come from street corner vendor lineage.

If someone wanted to go after our weird beliefs, how about the one where counsel given in Conference should be considered as commandments.

BYU71 has incredible stamina when it comes to beating things into the ground.

The ASPCA has a $1,000,000 bounty on his head.

I wonder.
I think Rudy would win handily, all the others have too much baggage to win nationally.
And Rudy has too much baggage with the "one issue" right wing.
I worry they are dumb enough to guarantee a Hillary win.

ONly as played in that film. It was originally recorded by some bluegrass group (can't recall the name) and it was between two banjos. Using a guitar was what really ticked off the mountain folk and was the actual reason why Ned Beatty learned how to do farmyard impersonations.
