April 26 - Lemurian Mountain Bike Race (Redding, CA)
May 10 - Tour of the Unknown Coast (Century)

Throw in a half dozen swim meets for the kids, an LDS scout encampment, and a couple of vacation days for camping and a family reunion, and my lawn should be 3 feet tall by the time I get around to mowing it by the end of October

Umm, one important omission, dude, Lotoja. Viking, creekster and I are counting on you to pull our fat asses upon to Jackson.

Yeah, about that. We ran into a little snag with the LOTOJA plans the moment my wife decided she wanted me to join her in Santa Jorge.

Can't I just provide remote support via cell phone motivation? I'll even put your names on the temple prayer rolls on the next youth temple trip.

A little SNAGGGG??? What the f... is that? You get your ass signed up and tell the little lady how it's going to be. And if that doesn't work, beg. Better thinking, skip the first one unless you desire the coach to be your abode, and go straight to begging.

I'm only planning on racing maybe one or two of them. The rest will be nice and easy. A lot of races I do just for the atmosphere, I love it.

If I get into NYC, I'll be training like a madman this summer. It's going to be a once, maybe twice in a lifetime thing, so I really want to see how well I could do on that course.

Perhaps go and kick some Bronco butt in the football team's annual triathlon??? Its an open invite now, from what I understand, if you can figure out what the actual date is going to be.

I don't know how you guys put all that mileage in during the summer. I am such a wimp about running in the heat (I grew up in mild SW Washington after all). I am planning on doing a half marathon in April-- even then I'm worried about it being too humid or warm. Then I'm playing indoor soccer all summer, hopefully avoiding injury, then doing some more races in the fall/winter.

The weather now, in the cool 50's with no humidity, is perfect for me.

Let me re-iterate, the only thing pulling my sorry but alarmingly large rear up the mountains in the LOTOJA will be my Ford Pickup (with bike rack) which I will use to ferry your extra bikes and wheels and parts and soigneurs (only Arch will bring one, is my guess).

All kidding aside, I would like to sag wagon for you guys, assuming you need it, and again all kidding aside, I am not anywhere near where I need to be to try to ride the thing. I will seriously check with the spousal calendar and clear those dates (I hope). But, and I say this with my most stentorian Orson Welles voice, if I make this trip, Bluegoose better be there too.

BTW, the truck is great fopr sagging. It has a water tight and lockable shell and can cary 3-4 bikes with ease inside all locked up and protected. It is a full crew cab (but buckets in front) so it carries 5 comfrontably, as long as the guy in the middle in back isn't a whiner.
