A Majerus class could be broken down to the following: 1 real good player, 1 average player and 2 players that would be out of the program in a year. A lot of his shortcomings in recruiting was that he didn't like it all. Most of his major gets were in thanks to Donnie Daniels and Judkins.

I don't care which assistant did his recruiting for him, I just know he got a lot of NBA caliber players into your program. Outside of when he had a few NBA players on the team at a time, I was never that impressed with his teams. You always had a chance to be in the game, because his offenses were always so bad.

No NBA players on the team when he took them to the sweet 16 the first time, unless you count Josh Grant as an NBA player.

Yep, his assistants got him the majority of the recruits though his name and program obviously helped. You may not have been that impressed with his teams, but his teams won a lot. And to be honest, there were not a lot of seasons where he didn't have one or two NBA players on his team...so I am not sure when you were not impressed.

Bottom line is that Majerus lost it at the end and your program was a train wreck waiting to happen Giac or not. Let's hope Boylen can bring you guys up to being a top three MWC team again.

I agree. But, the hope is being the top team in the MWC again, not just a top 3...thats a noble goal for BYU, UNLV and New Mexico, not for Utah. ;)
