Raisins in baked goods

Should be outlawed. We got stuck at a Christmas party the other day and half of the deserts had raisins in them. What made it worse is that they were the tricky kind of desert, where you initially thought it was chocolate chips, only to be dissapointed that further inspection reveals raisins.

Raisins are good in anything.

Jeff Lebowski 12-24-2007 12:43 AM

I love oatmeal raisin cookies.

TripletDaddy 12-24-2007 01:01 AM

oatmeal raisin cookies, raisins in bread pudding, raisins in yogurt or cereal.....what's not to like?

Are you a raisin hater?

I'm guessing that you wouldn't want Fresno State in the MWC.

Most people are able to grasp the completely obvious.

I am one of a handful that are able to grasp the merely obvious.

I don't mind raisins in baked goods, but if YOhio's raisin ban went into full effect, I wouldn't be sad either.

Sam: You don't like raisins?
Joon: Not really.
Sam: Why?
Joon: They used to be fat and juicy and now they're twisted. They had their lives stolen. They taste sweet, but really they're just humiliated grapes. I can't say I am a big supporter of the raisin council.
Sam: Did you see those raisins on TV? The ones that sing and dance and stuff?
Joon: They scare me.
Sam: Yeah me too
Joon: It's sick. The commercial people they make them sing and dance so people will eat them.
Sam: It's a shame about raisins.
Joon: Cannibals.

I like cinnamon raisin bread.

Other than that, I don't eat them much.

Oatmeal raisin cookies are the younger, less successful brother of cc cookies. I much prefer the latter.

If raisins went extinct tomorrow the world would be a better place.

I actually like Raisins straight from the little boxes. But I hate them in baked goods.

I concur and would like to add coconut to the list of things that should never be used in baked goods.

I'm the opposite. I can't stand them straight but I'm okay with them in cookies, raisin bran cereal, etc.

One thing you can purchase at Graceland is the recipe Elvis's mom used to bake his favorite coconut cake. It was the only thing I bought when we went on the tour. It is delicious and worth overdosing for.

TripletDaddy 12-27-2007 03:24 PM
