A&M fans are the worst anti-Mormon bigots
I have ever seen on any board. and that is saying a lot.

Mikes worlds are colliding.
|
I enjoy rooting against the Aggies just because the fans are so entitled and delusional. It's great entertainment.
|
Wow, there is a pic of my SIL in one of those threads. Boo. Where do they get these things?
I now hope Texas A&M and vicinity gets burned to the ground (mike's family excepting). |

At any rate, look for threads about Mormons prior to the date we realized we played BYU and you WILL NOT find anything. That's because it's game week. Texags.com would be full of smack talk about our opponent regardless of who we are playing. You guys are making it sound like we talk about BYU, or Mormons, all the time, not true, again, we play BYU this week, that is all. Mike is trying to make things worse and he is being laughed at over on Texags.com, you other guys should be laughing at him too. |
Quote:
So because its a game week you guys are justified in mocking ones religion? In that case its a game week so we are justified in talking about you burning your own students to death and not knowing how to build something as simple as a bonfire. Dont worry after this week we wont talk about it any longer, but its a game week and all smack talk is fair game. |
Quote:
Is it okay for you guys to act like bigots and slam one's personal and sacred religious beliefs? Note: That is a yes or no question so don't spin around the answer. Thanks in advance. |

I have a friend who is a Mormon Aggie, and we were complaining over here about some sort of anti-Mormonism, and he said "that is nothing like what you will read on Texags.com ". And he was right. Aggies take it to a whole different level. Nice try. |

As far as Im concerned, we are cool now. In fact, do you have any plans for this summer? Let's meet up at Burning Man this year. Should be a good one. http://www.burningman.com/ |
their Mormon smack is relegated to what they have been taught by South Park and a cartoon on youtube. Quite sad.

Simple bonfire? So simple no other universities built them. And A&M didn't build your simple high school bonfires, they went way over the top, and had for a century with no issues. |

Any other time - NO Problem is you were asking me to speak for Ags as a whole. I personally don't/haven't made fun of Mormons. My boss is one. He's very liked. |
TexasAg, what if we banned you and then had a huge thread ripping on you?
Is that how you think things should operate? |

Rocky, don't bother with the mouth-breathers.
I know there a few non-Cretins on Texags. but safe to say that most of them could make a openly sheep-loving Neanderthal blush. |

Sure, if you want to generalize. It's not as if there isn't smack going on in both directions, why is being a bigot so much worse? Truth is it isn't, making fun of people that died is, IMO. |

Signed, Joseph Smith p.s. blackened faces is something Aggies know about |

Also, TexasAg, perhaps you can tell me how many people ripping on Mormons were banned on TexAgs like I was.
Thanks in advance. |

It isnt the presence of rogue posters that gives the appearance of groupthink bigtory over at that site. It is the LACK of condemnation of these rogue posters on the part of "thousands of registered users." The silence over there is, in essence, deafening in its support of the bigotry. And now for my obligatory Bonfire reference: aTm is going to get torched on Thursday! Prepare to get crushed! |
do you not realize how much on this site has been posted that I am surprised was 'allowed'? Again, when it's your OWN, it's okay, at least apparently. Again, that forum that possesses all the threads Mike is talking about is one of the smaller ones, so your groupthink logic is not valid. The 'A&M Football', 'A&M Basketball', 'Rivalries', and 'General Board' are the most popular and most populated forums, so if they were running rampant with rogue Anti-mormon haters then yeah, your groupthink comment would hold more water. Truth is, a majority of the Texags.com posters don't even realize those bigotry topics exist.

There is more freedom on this site than any other BYU sports forum, and certainly a lot more freedom than Texags. We don't censor like Texags does. That's our prerogative. |

he wants heads to roll over there, but likes the freedom to say whatever here, got it, sounds hypocritical |
Quote:
We just rarely censor. We had a guy post a racist rant. We condemned him. We didn't ban him. We have a born-again dude who is on a mission to destroy Mormonism who posts here. We condemn him. We don't ban him. Kind of an interesting concept isn't it. Btw, if it appears that we are smarter on this website than texags, it is because, yes, we are indeed smarter. |
smarter? right. I'll take the popularity of Texags.com over the so called 'smarts' I've seen here.

This site, cougarboard, actually is about equal to texags in traffic recently. I looked it up on alexa.com. We don't aim to be big and stupid. (hmm, that sounds kind of like A&M). |
so you aim for small and hypocritical and obsessive of other sites, got it

how so?
if I count the number of topics he's started about A&M just in the last few days then my 'obsessive' comment is completely justified, so please tell me how i'm losing. |

You still okay with bigotry even in a game week? |
