Riding Emigration Canyon with the Borg
It was a lot of fun. The Borg is a really cool guy and I know we all really hope he can do ULCER, but I understand if he is just going to do Sawtooth though. It looks beautiful. Anyway, the climb was really tough for me, but we made it all the way to the top. Lots of fun!

Congrats on the climb. I'm fully expecting to roll backwards down the first baby hill in Montana. |

She asked me why I wasn't volunteering for this race on Saturday, not wanting to offend I didn't inform her, because "you always do." |

All I'm saying is that with that much climbing, most riders would be lucky to average 12 mph. At that rate, it would take 20-23 hours in one week. Thats a big chunk of time, even if you do ride 7 days a week. |

Her training invovles about thirty hours. Now if you ever meet her, she'll deny it, but Saturday usually involves five to seven hours of training and four hours on Sunday, with about two to three every day. |

That's cool about volunteering with the blind triathlete. |

There's more to it than that, but they are so driven and programmed they don't require as much supervision. |

1) It's not those robotic implants that weigh me down, it seems that there is an extra body strapped to my original version that is weighing me down! 2) Sleeveless jersey...because it was hovering near 100°. 3) BYUPride - he's a CG plant. A young plant at that. A CG spy sent out to test the will of so-called cyclists on this board. We "climbed" Immigration Canyon...Pride "sprinted" Immigration Canyon. When we got to the top, he was sitting down, having lunch, and playing video games on his phone. (I also think he had time for a nice nap, but he won't admit to that) Anyway, Pride is a budding star on the bike. We were just climbing to get to the top (I told you I was a wuss at climbing), he was really pushing himself, riding hard and getting better. Good job Pride. Fun ride. I need more and more climbing for prep of the Sawtooth Century. From what's been said on this thread, I ought to hire Arch's wife as a personal trainer. If I could log in about 1/4 of her climbing hours, I'd be more than ready. Pride is out to chew up and spit out any other person who wants to ride. |
You are too kind. Thanks for the words of encouragement.
