So you've also got that going for you. |
Mine is "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder. I'm not familiar with, but I already know it has the wrong team in it.
If only I had been three years earlier, I would have had "The Streak" by Ray Stevens. I cannot believe that song was a #1. |
Barbara and MRD and I were born in the part of the 70's just before disco ruined everything.
|
The long and winding road by the Beatles

I think a more pertinent question would be what is the song that was number one when you turned 16. This was when you could date, drive, had the pretense of independence and your body was in the midst of hormone wars. That was the time when music was Important. Now this idea seemed very sound until I saw the song that was number one on my 16th birthday. Blechh. But for the rest of you, you should consider it.

When I turned 16, the #1 song was Coming Up by Paul McCartney - the live version from Glasgow. That particular song is one in which McCartney played all the musical instruments when he recorded it in studio for his album. |

That hurt to admit. I don't even know what it sounds like but I ma pretty sure I don't like it. |

"Love will Keep us together" The Captain and Tennille
This is what it was when I turned sixteen. This just keeps getting worse. |

Children, all of you, except for Creekster. My birthday anthem was "Auf Wiederseh'n Sweetheart," by Vera Lynn. I recall it playing in the delivery room, which explains my reluctance to appear and my mother's lengthy labor.
My 16th birthday was The Doors' "Hello, I Love You," probably the crappiest hit from an otherwise good group. I was feeling sad that my advanced years produced such old hits, but felt better when I saw BYU71's song was "The Stars and Stripes Forever." |

I wouldn't have objected if you had left me in the children group, even if it isn't true. |
