Who is the poster who is always rizzooting for the Bizzam Shizzam Warriors? He bought a bunch of Google stock the day before it reached its all-time high of 714, last winter. Currently it's down to 328.

I haven't dared look. Really.

The one bonus is that this year, we're saving money for a down payment on a house. I was a little reluctant to keep it in a savings account and miss out on the higher returns, but decided to play it safe. And, housing prices are dropping like a rock around me.

This almost makes up for the brutal losses I took on two consecutive houses in IN and MI (both GM towns as GM was crashing and burning).

I've got 27 years (at least) before I'll be using it, so it's not too scary for me.

I sold all my stock and moved everything into cash on the advice of a co-worker when the market hit 14,000. He is this crazy dude (or so we thought) that watches the market all day long. He does really well in all types of markets, but was talking about bank failures, etc. a year and a half ago. Needless to say, I thought he was crazy, but he was right often enough for me to take his advice. I feel like kissing him on the mouth right now. He thought the market would be at 10,000 by this fall. I don't work there anymore, but I called him today and he is terrified. He says we are headed for disaster.
