Should I lobby to move from Boy Scouts to Venture/Varsity?
 

The 2nd counselor in the Bishopric suggested it might be a good move for me, and to discuss it with the YM President if I thought it was a good idea.

I think it fits me better in terms of what I like to do--more rigorous stuff, less knot-tying and advancement.

The opportunity may be present, because we just replaced our 1st counselor in the YM Presidency, and he could potentially be the SM.

Of course, this may all be moot if I move away this summer.

That's a no-brainer. Make the move.
