What does everyone think of Linkedin? Anyone gotten a job out of it?

I got invited and set up an account I just dont know how to get much use out of it. Any pointers

I'm signed up also, don't know if it's worth a crap or not.
 

I do note that there are 445 people in my extended network. All this and I only have 2 1st degree connections. I'm not looking for a new job so I haven't tried the introduction thing, but I have to think that if people are willing to sign up they'd at least be willing to talk to you. Which might lead to something.

I have 59,500 people in my extended network, with 30 primary connections.

Having an account has allowed people to find me and contact me and vice versa.
