Congrats on the win...

BYU did what was needed to win and stopped the Utes from doing what they needed to do to win.

Utah is well-coached as opposed to last season, but they appear to lack one player which they have historically had.

In conference tournament, I don't want to see BYU play Utah.

I agree that the Utes lack the one player they need and it would be on offense. With Bryant graduating this year, they'll be down two needed scorers, but I am starting to be convinced that Boylen will be able to do it. In his first year, the team has improved exponentially. They would have been blown out of the MC tonight if Giacoletti was coaching.

Utah played well. Every time we would make a run they would answer it.

BYU seemed a bit out of synch tonight offensively.

Well, BYU was in synch enough to get the win. A sign of a solid team.

I move that you not be allowed to post about the bball team until you've issued a formal apology for jumping ship after the first UNLV game. Does anyone second that motion?

Utah made BYU's defense seem amazing. Which means that Utah's offense is AWFUL.

The way I envision Arch watching BYU sporting events is standing in front of a television on top of an unstable stool with razors in his hands and a noose around his neck

we only have one guy who isnt afraid to shot.. (Johnnie Bryant)... Boylen needs to put his size 13 shoe up Green's ass and tell him to stop passing up shots

Utah is doing something this year that they haven't done in the past two or three years, and that is rely on inexperienced freshmen to contribute. I know that it has become passe to say "Well, if Giac were still the coach, such and such would happen..." but it's true. If Giac were the coach, Morgan Grimm (among others) would be expected to contribute right away. Boylan has done a great job of getting the most out of a limited rotation.

BYU has a big advantage because it has a good mix of veteran talent and leadership and young talent. Guys like Miles, Fredette, and whoever that other freshmen is that plays a lot, can come in and contribute because they are not relied on night in and night out to be one of the top three scorers.
