Wow, that was tough for the widow.

to lose your child, then your husband to suicide...

There was a recent case in the Dallas area of a couple losing a child to drowning in a swimming pool. A year or two later (just recently) the mother drowned herself in the swimming pool.

Hopefully, this can lead to greater awareness of depression and suicide, and a greater acceptance of treatment for depression.

I wonder what level of awareness exists in Germany about depression. The story awakened sadness in me for those survivors of those who commit suicide.

I'd never heard of this guy. But he was the husband of a friend of a friend, kinda thing.
