David Nixon

I wonder who will sign Nixon to a FA contract.

He's probably a longshot to make a roster, but he could conceivably make one as a special teams guy and 3rd string backer.

It's hard to find any info about him at all, so the buzz around him is close to zero.

Nixon doesn't even show up on ESPN.com list of BYU draftable players. There are 7 BYU players listed, including David Oswald and Manase Tonga.

Maybe Nixon isn't even going to try.

Either that or his agent has done a pathetic job of creating any kind of buzz around him.

I'm sure he has a lot of options outside of football.

He is trying, and he has the same agent as Kehl, I believe. I am uneducated about matters of the draft, but I do know he helped himself significantly by upping his speed at BYU's pro day.

Nixon signed FA contract with the Raiders.

Apparently, this was expected. I am sorry he has to go to that crazy organization, but hopefully he'll find a spot either on the practice squad or on special teams.

Cable named linebacker David Nixon and tight end Chris O'Neill as undrafted free agents who impressed.
