Sod
 

I am looking into putting sod into our backyard. When we had our house built last summer we elected not to go with sod in the backyard thinking that the builders asking price for that one was exhorbitant. Now we are thinking not so much now.

What sod do you guys recommend? I have heard that bermuda is the best year-round grass but I'm not in love with the winter hybernation color(brown). We've been overseeding it(the sodded front yard portions that were included in the price of the house) with rye but its not getting as green as I would like. Are there any good year round green grasses?

I"m not aware of any "year-round" grasses here in Texas.

Sod problem solved. I ended up going with bermuda.
