Sometimes people merely speak because they can

If I recall correctly, Arlington cemetery has crosses, as do the fields of the slain in many parts of the world. This seems very disrespectful and these people are being overly sensitive.

I have a real problem with these groups who are supposedly protecting everyones rights, ie ACLU, this atheist group, etc. In reality, they are for freedom of expression and viewpoints, unless your viewpoints or opinions differ from theirs. It is somewhat hypocritical, dont you think.

I was just watching a tv show today that was talking about teaching K-8th kids about gays and lesbians. In the beginning of the show, they showed some senator talking about being outraged with involving gay education, whatever the hell that is, in the school systems. The show mocked him and then showed clips of kindergarten kids talking about how it was wrong to disagree with the gay lifestyle!!! I swear, we are raising a generation of weak people who are looking for things to take offense at.

This epitomizes how the aclu is ridiculous. The article is spun on behalf of the aclu, but it is self-explanatory. When it comes to some things, the aclu raises hell if it offends just one, but when it comes to exposing children in libraries, etc, to porn. the aclu has no probelms

This is why I'm not politically correct..

I'll be damned if I allow my 1st Amendment right of freedom of speech to be taken away. If someone is offended at what I say, it's not my problem.

Now, there are things I wouldn't say if it were to cross a certain line of decorum, such as mocking others' religious beliefs. But that's about it.

Wow, that is a joke. It is a symbol of ONE PARTICULAR religion? Which, praytell, is that?

That is three levels beyond retarded.

"To so blatantly tie the UHP to religion and to overwhelm the commemoration with a harrowing symbol exclusive to one religion unquestionably violates the doctrine of the separation of church" and state, Clark said.

Overwhelm. Harrowing. Unquestionably. Yeah, those republicans really do engage in practices of Torture.

I say give them the dollar of damages they seek, so long as we stick it where it counts.
