Who on the BYU team has NFL talent?

Name a player on the BYU squad that will play in the NFL.

I can't think of one.

I think that is a major reason for the losses this season.

Pitta or George might surprise us.

Jorgenson might get a look.

Chambers if he improves.

And I can't judge the offensive line since I haven't watched them in person.

But this is not a very talented team. Max won't make it.

Until we get definite talent upgrades in skill positions, it is not a very pleasant outlook.

Pitta and George, highly doubtful. Pitta is highly inferior version of Martellus Bennett, and Marty B hardly gets off the bench. Pitta is another Harline. Not strong enough, not fast enough. Jorgenson, no way. I can't imagine him doing anything against NFL OLineman. Chambers, definitely not. No speed, no burst. Not a playmaker. Not to say that some of these are not/cannot be excellent productive college players.

Matt Reynolds? Maybe.

I'm going to go on a limb here, just a gut feeling--Andrew George will spec out better than Pitta, and has a better shot at the NFL.

Your point is well-taken.

This is not an athletically very talented team.

Hughes, Dalton and Kerley are heads and shoulders more talented than anybody on the BYU team.

Talented players make a coach look smart.

It's been so long since I have been able to watch BYU field NFL prospects, I no longer know how to recognize them, save Austin Collie.

Chambers' main drawback is speed, but he has an attitude and big mitts.

Our receivers have typically been slow, but our schemes were superior. Now our schemes are ordinary and we have ordinary athletes. Not a great recipe for success.

Pitta looks better than he would be in the NFL because he's Hall's favorite dump off guy. That only works in a few offenses and not in the NFL since TE's get used for much more physical roles professionally than in BYU offense.
