Water boarding vs.

this: http://www6.comcast.net/news/article...d.Contractors/

I wonder if the liberals and John McCain put water boarding and this in the same class of torture? Oh, yeah, had we not water boarded the three, yes, three high valued terrorists, this wouldn't have happened?

BTW......where is the hue and cry over this throughout the world?

I think waterboarding IS torture.

It isn't either or. Both are torture.

A. You can't tell me it was only used 3 times.
B. You can't tell me it definitely worked those 3 times (i.e., saved lives).
C. No, it isn't worth it.

I'll be more specific:

If the only way to save the lives of millions of millions of people - including your wife and kids - was to water board a terrorist, would it be worth it?

I'm not interested in discussing torture with people lacking the ability to morally reason.

I love talking to people who think life is like an episode of 24.

Let me flip that question for you: is there anything that would NOT be worth saving the lives of millions of millions of people, including your wife and kids?

Would you rape a woman if it would save them? Would you support a partial birth abortion if it would save them? Would you renounce the church if it would save them? Would you rape and kill a little child if it would save them?

Are there any limits to what you would do?

Afraid to answer the question?

Not at all. My answer is that there are limits to what can and should be done in the name of "saving lives." It just creates a slippery slope. That and the fact that you won't ever know for a fact that you are saving lives, and the silly hypo you have proposed won't ever actually occur. I feel safe in saying "no, not worth it." Better to face God with a clear conscience. You're up.
