Another benefit is it will put an end to the kids griping that their brother/sister got a bigger piece of cake/pie than they did. A wise investment indeed.

I'll keep it in mind...and don't ask me how much money I spent on the perfect carrot peeler. I learned that there is a price too much for a perfectly peeled carrot.
