I just posted and already had some individuals help me out with my research project. I just wanted to say thanks and am looking forward to more help. I am new to this, and in the future, my posts will be more psychology topic minded. I am in the last year of my PhD program in clinical psychology and am a bit of a psych geek. Happy to talk to anyone about psychology, the human condition, ect...

Did it really say one had a 3 in 500 chance of being compensated $50?

Oh joy.

I didn't do it because gambling is against my religion.

This is what happens when BYU doesn't chase federal grant money.

I was searching for some BYU sports info and came across this site. As I looked though the message boards, I found a ton of funny and interesting things. I am in the last year of a PhD program in Clinical Psychology at BYU. I Call Juneau Alaska home.

It sure would be easier to do research if the money did not have to come out of my own pocket. Wish I could afford to pay everyone for participating. The main reason for the $50.00 drawing offer is to nudge BYU Psych Students into participating in my study vs. studies whiteout any chance of reward. I am sure that those that get $50.00 will be happy. Sorry if taking chances is against your religion, though I think it's only gambling if you have the chance to loose something:-)

I thought it to be gambling if I forfeit something, I didn't realize this was a form of strip poker.

I also did not realize BYU offered any doctoral programs outside of the JD program.
