Mitt Romney: No revelation since Moses.

An exceptionally odd comment, for a Mormon. Peter will be glad to know that the rock the church was built on was actually... just a rock. Sadly, the Catholics have possession of that rock now, so maybe we should think of joining with them? Mitt is all over the place- on everything. Surprised I haven't seen this posted yet from DJRoss. He is usually on top of Mitt stuff. |

I think you're misreading it. He said his dad marched with Moses.

looks as though the Romney apologists may just choose to ignore it. if so, it's disappointing, but not surprising.

I guess Romney feels like I do. Every young man a missionary is counsel, not revealed commandment. |
The only thing CB posters would do would be to do what any crafty lawyer would do.....hang their hat on the out clause in Mitt's statement....."and perhaps some others."
God spoke to Moses....and some others. What practicing LDS does not believe that God spoke to Moses and some others? |

He doesn't want to get cornered in with that segment of the mormon population that believes everyting the prophet advises comes from God. Anyone making such a statement couldn't and shouldn't become President of the US. |

"Do you sustain the President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as the Prophet, Seer, and Revelator and as the only person on the earth who possesses and is authorized to exercise all priesthood keys? Do you sustain members of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles as prophets, seers, and revelators? Do you sustain the other General Authorities and local authorities of the Church?" |
