Anyone watching UFC Nemesis tonight...

who wants to invite me over? My wife will never agree to the purchase. Really want to see the Axe Murder take on the Ice Man.

I will have it on in Lehi if you want to come over. Not sure how many are coming but me and one of my buddies (who is very die hard) will be here. Boardmail if you really want to come I will give you my address.

Lol. I'm in Virginia. By the way, GSP is going to hand Hughes his ass again. Too bad Serra is hurt, would have liked to see that.

My predictions:

Hughes over GSP by ground and pound
Liddell Knockout over Silva (only because it would piss Fusnik off)
Guillard knockout over Clementi
Machida decision over Sokoudjou
Soa Palelei knockout over Eddie Sanchez

Junkie -

What do you know about a young guy from Salt Lake named Josh Burkman?

I'm not a UFC or MMA fan, but I coached Josh in Babe Ruth baseball and was wondering if you'd heard anything about him. I just learned a while ago that he was a fighter.

I would love to, but the GF's ex is taking the kids for the night so we're gonna probably do dinner and hit a movie.

Crappy night to do that with all of the sports on......BYU Game, Jazz, Patriots History setting game, and a big UFC PPV.....oh well....gotta pick and choose the battles sometimes I guess.

When I went to Snow for a semester Josh lived in the apartment next to us, he was an all-state baseball and football player at Cottonwood. When we were at Snow he was playing running back for the Badgers. He did some martial arts and was approached one day by a guy named Jeremy Horn (who is a veteran in the UFC and from Salt Lake) to start training, Josh gave up football and started training full time, he was on the reality show The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV and did pretty well, he is now considered an up and comer at 170 lbs in the UFC. When we were at Snow he would kick the hell out of Polys all the time, he liked to fight.

He trains in SLC still and if you want to see him fight, he is fighting on the next fight night (which is free) on Spike TV, it is on January 23rd on Spike TV he is fighting a guy named Mike Swick who is pretty tough, this is the main event on the card, so you can see that Josh is making a name for himself he has fought some of the toughest guys at 170 in MMA.

Here is a link to some articles about him: http://mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/PPL.search.asp

I remember him as a hard-nosed baseball player when he was in Babe Ruth. I knew that he was a stud at Cottonwood too (though he lived in Granite boundaries.)

He was pretty soft-spoken when I knew him and didn't show a personality that he liked to fight.

Good luck to him. I may have to tune in for his fight next month.

Sanchez by TKO in the 3rd. Palelei's eye so so messed up and closed that they stopped it.

Yeah 1 out of 5 is not good. But at least Chuck won, he completely outclassed Silva. I cant wait for the Fusnik spin on this one. The Pride guys are getting their asses kicked in the UFC.
