Lost Student--an orderly introduction

About me:

1. I am clever for creating my username.

2. I am dumb for having created this username one month after I graduated from law school. (If only my one flash of brilliance had hit three years ago.)

3. I like dogs.

4. I averaged 0.1863041289023162134944612286002 posts/day at CB between Sept. 24, 2004, when I joined, to today, June 14, 2007 (number is approximate).

8. I averaged .00125 emoticons/post at CB (number is guesstimate).

9. Today being June 14 has reminded me that my daughter will turn one years old tomorrow.

10. I will not be posting on CB anymore because to do so I have to click I "agree to abide by the rules" link when the only thing I posted was a direct quote from someone else's post. My silent act of protest will be refusing to click the "I agree to abide by the rules" link. Every 5.3675675675675675675675675675734 days CB members WILL experience a void due to my lack of post(s).

11. Did you notice that I skipped 5-7? If so, give yourself a pat on the back.

12. College football is my favorite sport but I am pretty ignorant when it comes to it generally. At least I am honest about my ignorance, unlike many people out there.

13. I know the difference between "their," "there," and "they're," and "it's" and "its," but I always get caught up by that pesky "isle" and "I'll." Can anyone keep them straight?

Good to be hear.

Excellent post. Welcome.

Use "isle" when you sing about Gilligan's I'lland.

Welcome.
Congratulations on your recent graduation.

Are you a Cougar or Ute?

You will get along quite well with Cougarguard's beloved poster Brian.

Well, as long as it is the CG version of Brian and not the CB. I used to think he was funny over there but got tired of it. Am I the only one who thinks that his posts used to be a lot funnier?

I'd say that about half of my posts are lame attempts at humor like my above post, and the others are, well, not.

As an example (you can decide if you think I was trying to be funny or not), this was my post that led a mod to tell me to not "post stuff like this":
----
If I were a donor, this would be my sig:

"5'5" and 120 lbs with massive testicles"

-Big Daddy D
-----
Really I was just quoting Big DD directly and thought it was odd that a mod gave me the warning while the original post remains.

If any of you want to join my silent protest against this heavy-handed censorship, please feel free.

I am a BYU fan, BTW.

Brian was funny before he was on the Tonight SHow. After that, it went to his head and he thought he could just roll with his rep.

Big mistake.

On the topic of not wanting to agree to the rules on CB, I figure it's kind of like when I agree to obey all the traffic laws in order to get a driver's license. I generally plan on it and do for the most part. But sometimes ... you get my drift. :)

I was wondering--why am I "on a distinguished road" yet someone with 2,000x as many posts as I is an "unknown quantity"?

Jeff Lebowski 06-15-2007 04:04 AM

Welcome.

What is your moniker on CB?
