So I guess the series is tied up now
I hate 1pm church. I hate not having my DVR anymore even more. I hate not getting reception on my cell phone in our church building so I can't follow the game. I hate rushing home in time to see the game sent to OT only to get called out to give a blessing.
From the looks of the box score if the Lakers could have hit a free throw they would have won. Congrats on holding down home court. This may go 7 now. See you guys in LA. |
The Jazz are back in this series.
Too bad they have to win a road game to win it. Against the media favorites. |
Yeah, Lakers are clearly the better team. I hope that Jazz can get lucky again.

Every time I try to convince myself the Lakers are better, they start sucking. The Jazz really came alive at home and played really well. Forget the crowd and all that other crap. The Jazz simply started playing their game....did you check out all those screens they were running today? It was like watching a pinball machine out there...bodies bouncing off each other so much. Also, guys like Korver and Okur finally started hitting.
This series could go either way. All things considered, I am glad the Lakers have home court. I was pretty amazed that the Lakers made up 10 points in about 3 minutes, though. Going into OT when that game should have been in the refrigerator....wow. I am happy the series will drag out. Dr Buss makes over a million dollars per home game in the playoffs. He could use some pocket change. |
My Sunday block starts at 1:00; however, we have a 9 year old who was up all night yakking, so I needed to stay home with him to make sure he's ok.
I actually watched the game from start to finish. I think it's the 3rd game this year I've done that, counting the game I went to with Mr. Lebowski. A neighbor of mine who is a Lakers fan will undoubtedly tell me that the Jazz got lucky because the Lakers didn't play well and almost won both games here. I kind of see it as the Jazz tied the series at 2 games each. I've decided that the Jazz did the right thing taking Williams. He's a Sloan kind of player. I'm going to be like others and say that this will go 7 games with the home team winning each game. Lakers will advance. On a side note, on thing I would do if I was the Jazz owner - other than probably be at the game today - would be to have every Laker fan in the arena during the playoffs to be escorted out of the building and told to go home. I'd even refund them their money. But I'd let Derek Fisher's mom stay, she'd just have to go watch the game from the concourse on the TVs at the concession stands. |
I didn't watch the game. I went for a drive in the car instead.

Kobe's injury will be interesting. If his back was hurting that bad in this game, I imagine it will really tighten up over the next few days. Too bad the game is on Wed. instead of Tue! It is scary how good he is, especially now that he has learned to pass. |

I think the Lakers take game 5 in LA. I think Utah has a shot in game 6, and if it goes to 7, anything can happen. Of course, this is all null and void if Kobe's back is really bothering him. Utah could win in LA if Kobe is as hurt as he was acting today. I just think it is tough to beat ANY team 4 times in a row, let alone the Lakers. |
Seemed like everytime there was a bad defensive play by the Jazz, it was Boozer's fault.
