have any of you seen the Book of Mormon musical?

wondering what your opinion of it was.

it's coming back to town and I'm thinking about seeing it.

I listened to the soundtrack on NPR.

Music was phenomenal.

I didn't go see it live because I feared somewhere down the line some girl was gonna judge me.

MikeWaters 12-17-2014 03:38 PM

have you found a girl yet?

My brother who is about 35yo and never married, he's in a date first, baptize second situation. Not sure if the third step is going to happen. Marriage.

So that approach is always an option, and has the advantage of increasing the size of the church.

Right now I've gone out with a 1/2 Asian engineer from Philly and we are texting and Skyping. Took quite a commitment from her to come down to DC and spend the night. Nothing official yet. And yes, she asked me if I've seen the musical. In retrospect, my caution was warranted.

I don't have a strong desire to see the musical. But if I were single and a girl dumped because of that, I would consider it a blessing. Because I sure as well would continue to disappoint her.

His caution was warranted? She wanted to see it with him?

I interpreted it has her rejecting him if he had seen it.

I have not seen the musical but I hear that the book is better.

I imagine I would feel uncomfortable with the raucous laughter from the people around me who don't give one rat's ass about Mormons or Mormonism.

I am more insensitive than you. It is irritating that you can't offend obese people, but mocking LDS is perfectly okay.

You're probably aware of this, but you can officially become disabled through obesity, simply because you ate too much. How inane is that?
