Broncos CB Darrent Williams shot and killed

This is really sad

He had a very promising NFL future ahead of him, this kid was going to be a stud and the fact that he was being tutored by Champ Bailey.

ESPN is reporting that he was leaving Kenyon martin's birthday party.

Really really sad that it happened. My heart goes out of Williams' family and the rest of the Broncos. Apparently Javon Walker was also in the limo with Williams, and when he showed up to the Bronco's facility, he had some blood on his shirt.

This is tragic. My understanding is that he was a great kid and loved by all who came to know him.

I think this is now the 3rd shooting incident in Denver with the victims/targets being pro athletes in the last year or so. What's up with that?

Yeah, Williams, Julius Hodge and Joey Porter have all been shot in/around Denver.. Who would have thought that Denver was such a 'hood?

How about the Cowboys Keith Davis who has been shot 4 times in two seperate occassions in the past 3 years.

I just read Kenyon Martins comments, how come it seemed like he was not remorseful at all? Is it just me or did it seem Mr Martin may have been involved.

I wouldn't say he sounds involved, but more like "better him than me", which, IMO, is worse.

I don't know... it almost made it sound like he knew something, but wasn't talking.

I am not a fan of Martin... I am not implying that he is responsible, but he does have an attitude of disinterest, instead of remorse. At least from the comments in the paper.

Agreed about the lack of remorse.

I based my belief on the fact that too many pro athletes are "me-first" kind of people who care nothing about anything other than themselves.

Good thing that Andre Miller got out of there ... no, wait, yikes, he's in Philadephia now.

A Google search for NBA shooting incident returns 317,000 sites. "NBA paternity suit" only 29,000.
