Armstrong

All that sitting up and coasting to the finish in the prior stages, for this? To sit in the back of the break, not take pulls, and make a pathetic sprint for the finish?

Man, the elastic has snapped for Armstrong, both physically and mentally. After his prologue, I think most people thought he had some form.

Now he looks like a tired old man, who is not even worthy of being called a good domestique.

But that's cool. I don't think there is any shame exiting through "the small door." In fact, I kind of like athletes that play as long as they can. Dominique Wilkins for example. Rickey Henderson. "Retiring on top" is overrated.

One can't help but wonder if the federal investigation is weighing on him.

If he loses his reputation for integrity, what does he have left? He's already trashed his original family, trashed his celebrity former girlfriend. He's got a new girlfriend that is making babies for him, and a friend named "College." I'm sorry, if I ever meet someone who says his name is College, I am going to punch him in the face.

Lance is a man of many contradictions. Great competitor, great spokesperson and fundraiser for cancer research. Suspect personality and suspect values in his personal life.

Then again, what's so bad about being a prick? After all, many might say that I don't have room to talk in that department.

So long Lance. It's been an interesting ride.

Have you met him? Or do you believe everything reported by the media?

I've never met him. It goes beyond media reports. He is a known person in Austin. And his reputation precedes him.
