So I just bought 5 trees off the back of a truck
 

A very Mike-ish move for me.

Guys come by all the time with trees they are selling cheap. I have always passed but my lansdcaper had told me December was the right time to plant them here anyway. This guy had a pickup truck full of Red Oaks for $75 each, including labor for planting.

So I either got 5 oak trees for $375 ... or they will die and I got ripped off. But my guy's price for the same tree is $125. We shall see.

You got ripped off. I pay $0 when I go to the park and dig them up.

Actually, every now and then I see signs around for free trees, usually when they are getting ready to bulldoze for new construction. So that woudl be the true cheap guy's way to do it.

puff puff pass. 75 bucks is probably cheap for an entire "tree"
