pre game post game offers

Okay, my previous offers haven't met with unbounded enthusiasm for reasons unknown to me.

However, I am running Thursday morning with my buddy. It is a Zone 3 run, moderate length for me, 13, and he's doing a 20 miler. Pace will be modest from a 8:45 to 9:15, with an occasional fartlek.

On Friday, we have both masters swimming and cycling.

Ummmmmm, I think I'll be immersed in teh Bellagio buffet around that time Thursday. And I'm not really sure what a fartlek is, but with four guys heading down to Vegas, there might already be plenty of that. But thanks for the offer!

Arch, I'd be happy to join you for the swim, but it'll have to be by correspondence as I (sadly) will not make it out to see the game.

I promise to wear blue, though. :)

So you're inviting me for a run. You'll probably be running ahead of me, and you'll be doing occasional fartleks? Can't wait for that!

A "fartlek" is speed training.

Geeze, I thought I would be doing everybody a favor. I think I'll take my running shoes and go home. :(

I usually appreciate training partners when I leave town, so I figured some of you might appreciate the same. Fine, be that way.

If I was coming to town I would be up for something. But with being out of town all last week, we decided that we can't take the kids out of school any days this week. It is killing me that the bowl game is only 4 hours from my house, but I will still end up watching it on tv.
