Obama Faced Tougher Decisions Than FDR

Quote:

“I’ve watched him make decisions that would make another man or woman’s hair curl,” Biden told the crowd of 150 inside the Italian Community Center in Milwaukee, according to a pool reporter on scene.

Biden, who has said he’s the last man in the room with Obama before a tough call, often attests that his boss has a “backbone like a ramrod.”

And today he said that mettle — and the “serious problems” Obama faced upon taking office — put the president in a class of his own.

“I think I can say … no president, and I would argue in the 20th century and including now the 21st century, has had as many serious problems which are cases of first-instance laid on his table,” Biden said. “Franklin Roosevelt faced more dire consequences, but in a bizarre way it was more straightforward.”
I'm starting to think the entire 2012 Obama campaign will be a 10-second spot of Obama announcing bid Laden's death, looped for about 3 months.

How true this is.

The GOP nominee-apparent Mitt Romney is the trash talkingest candidate in American history. Campaign Media Analysis Group reported that 99% of his ads are negative, an all-time high.

It is no wonder that you are so bothered by a candidate who points out the positives in his track record; it's the complete opposite of Romney's policy of casting stones.

I'm worried about young Ute4ever's testimony.

First went to Utah, and now anti-Romney. That's like begging for a Bishop's Court.

Politics is the art of trash-talking. What's wrong with a little trash talk, don't you watch the NBA?

Heh, are you kidding? The best summary of the Obama campaign I've seen so far is this:

"Obama inherited everything from Bush. Except the terror network that found bin Laden."

EDIT: The RNC is thinking along these lines, apparently.

It hasn't always been this way. Things get worse every year. Romney has taken it to a whole new level.

Check out this 1960 debate. The first time I saw it was while touring the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda, and was floored at how cordial they were one to another, and even defended the other from false accusations(!)

This is an old wives' tale. One that gets routinely debunked whenever the media takes up the moral issue of "tone" in politics.

"Veterans for a Strong America" has something to say about this.
