Magnetic/Copper Bracelets - functional or purely sex for appeal?

Does anyone wear one of those copper or magnetic bracelets? They sound hokey but the few people that wear them that I've talked to about it, say they work for arthritis and a guy today said it helped for his migraines. The latter appeals to me, but it still sounds fishy.

Any thoughts from those on the board trained in the art of medicine?

No evidence of any kind, but the placebo effect can be pretty powerful so immediately forget what I just said and go buy one. :)
