My MLK day run

I went out and decided to just go until I felt like turning around. I felt great today and decided to turn around at 7 miles, so my total for the run was 14.3 miles.

The interesting thing was that after I stopped and stretched I suddenly had the urge to puke. I did, and that was that, I felt fine and have ever since. During the entire run I felt great and that nausea didn't hit until I was done. Anyone ever experienced that?

Yes. For me, I believe it was a side effect of the Pill... Have you been taking estrogen lately? ;)

I decided to run in the afternoon today. Finished my fastest 10k (in 59'52"). I was busting my butt.

Well, I did watch a little bit of Oprah the other day. That might have the same effect.

I have to run on the treadmill yet again tonight. Damn snow.

On the plus side, my weekend run will be done along Huntington Beach this Saturday, so that'll be nice.

We actually got snow in Redding today. We got about 1/4" with none of it sticking to the roads. So, snow doesn't keep us inside around here, it's a once or twice a year proposition with serious accumulation coming only every few years.

We got about 4" in my neck of the woods today. I'm usually not such a wuss about it, but I fell on my arse last week running on the ice, and now I'm scared. I was afraid I had separated my shoulder, but it's just really bruised.

That sounds really painful. Are you able to raise it out to the side yet?

Yeah, it's fine. I've got a huge bruise from my shoulder down almost to my elbow. I think I must have landed on a big piece of ice for it to bruise the way it did. It really bugs me if I try to sleep on that side, but other than that, it's ok.

Yes, she has been known to induce vomitting.
