Mormon mafia

Lou Dobbs said the phrase "mormon mafia" in reference to Mormon support of Evan McMullin.

And a bunch of Mormons have co-opted the phrase in humorous ways on social media.

But should they? Do they know how evil the mafia is/are? I mean, if we are going to be concerned about a movie about Pirates, shouldn't we also be concerned about joking around about the church being part of a mafia? People might get the wrong idea.

Of course the intent to jokes is to advertise how harmless Mormons are. But is that really what will come across? Will "Mormon mafia" become an ingrained phrase?

Stay tuned.

A dumb phrase. I prefer Mormon Pirates.

Dobbs should be taking a lot more crap for saying this than he is. Not wanting to vote for the white supremacist candidate should hardly be a reason to be equated with the mafia.
