Moral Dilemma

What do you do, when your client's wife or fiancee is so gorgeous, that you find yourself wanting to stare at her. It's happened twice in my professional life and one time today.

I had to go out of my way, NOT to look at her. Now she probably believes here's this nutty lawyer who won't look me. When in reality, I almost found myself asking her for her number ... not really but you get the point.

I do what you did...

Isn't that the only option? You look at her during the introductions and when she speaks but avoid anything beyond professional courtesy when speaking to her. That wouldn't be as bad as if she were part of your staff or a secretary or something where you had to see her daily.

Now, the real question is, did the clients fiancee work at Cheetah's?

She was well-proportioned sales rep

for many high end purchases.

I can see why; I might buy anything she sold. Despite her good looks, I wanted to be paid for my services even more, so I did my duty. It was difficult beyond measure.

My best advice . . .

maintain direct eye contact at all times!!!

Archaea 08-30-2005 10:40 PM

I did

with her fiancee, my client.

Usually it's not a problem but this time, she had the complete package, eyes, hair, mouth, clothing and other attributes. Plus she was nice. No wonder he went for her but why did she walk into my office, I was just minding my own business.

It won't happen again as this is only the second time, but boy what a dilemma. How to avoid eye contact while rendering professional service.

When somebody striking walks in, it knocks your socks off. Nonetheless, I maintained my integrity and charged full price. :) They will get my great usual service though.

It reminds me of the story of a lawyer and a physician watching a beauty walk by, and the doc says to his lawyer buddy, "Boy I'd like to s... her." To which the lawyer responds, "Out of what?"

My name is Archaea and I don't approve of this message.

Is it morally wrong to stare at the picture that Archaea has for his avatar?

My thought exactly.

Is that your clients fiancee', Archaea? Asking her to pose like that really doesn't help matters :P .
