Believable or should I call bull
 

A friend tells me that in a certain county in Utah, Judges are primarily also ecclesiastical leaders.

If your kid gets in trouble, you have a lot better shot of getting your kid an easy sentence if you have contacts, if you know what I mean.

Maybe that is the same everywhere, only it is political contacts instead of religious contacts.

Well, some of our LDS judges here are also ecclesiastical leaders, but I don't believe it's by design.

I don't think they could get away with their bias's in Nevada. I think it not uncommon for people who rise to the top in their career pursuits to also rise in ecclesiastical leadership also.

However, except in Utah I don't think you can see the influence spill over to the career pursuit.
