100th post introduction

I think that a belated introduction is in order on this occasion.

I am a 30 year old law student in San Diego. Thankfully, my legal education will come to a sudden and satisfying halt in May when I graduate. Then I will move somewhere, anywhere, other than Southern California (although if I got a good enough job offer I might be willing to stay a few years).
I have been married for 9 years and have a six year old daughter.

I grew up for the most part in Utah Valley, and have spent the rest of my life geting over it. Of course, this made me a huge Cougar fan. This was sort of pre-determined by my parents, who ate slept and breathed BYU. Possibly because they both worked there. My mother used to sing "Rise and Shout" to us every morning to wake us up for school.

I went to BYU out of high school but did not graduate (apparently you are occasionally supposed to attend class?). I got my undergraduate degree in Political Science and a Masters in International Relations at the University of Alabama. Incidentally, Tuscaloosa, Alabama was my favorite place I have ever lived.

I lean a bit left politically, but I am open to all sides. I dig this board in comparison to CB for it's free flow, and slightly more intellectual tone (except of course when I am involved). Of course, I also like to see defecatory and anatomical exclamations printed in cyberspace. It makes the time pass so much faster.

Roll tide (this functions as a greeting, farewell, and a gesture of well meaning or inclusion for Alabamians of a certain ilk).

defecatory? very nice. I need to use that in a letter or something sometime.

Welcome, although you are already aprt of the crowd, as you know.

How'd you become a Laker fan?

Welcome back Detroitdad.

You can never have too many young, ambitious, left-leaning lawyerly types, you know.

Which anatomical exclamations were you referring to? I'm pretty sure I can figure out the defecatory ones, but there are plenty of anatomical terms to choose from. Unless, of course goatnapper is discoursing with SeattleUte, in which case it is really only a choice of one.

I became a Lakers fan because I was a Jazz hater. I grew up in Utah and I got so sick of hearing about the Jazz that I started to like the team that the Jazz fans hated the most.

I did not win many popularity contests.
