Gosh, I hate salesmen
 

A salesman knocked on my door today selling home security systems. I wasn't home, but my wife was. She calls me and asks me to talk to him. I refuse and say just get the information. I get home from work, family is gone, but this knocks on the door (I didn't know he was coming back).

After a much longer presentation than I cared for, I asked him how much the monthly cost is. "12 dollars per week." This was after this big presentation about "possible" free installation of a system if we are selected as a "model home."

Then after further presentation I tell him we will not be a good model home.

"Why?"
"Because you cost too much."
"Why do you say that?"
"You're fifty bucks a month."
"So you are someone that will never get a security system."
"Maybe. But your competitior company x only charges 17 dollars per month."
"They are a mom and pop operation. We take over many of their accounts."
"Ok."
"So you are someone that only cares about cost."
"Yes."
"Yes, you are the type that only cares about cost."
"Yes, I care about cost."

Some people don't handle rejection very well. YES YOU D-BAG, I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY AND I'M NOT GIVING IT TO YOU AND YOUR COMPANY BECAUSE I LIKE TO PAY EXTRA FOR THINGS.

D-BAG is probably going down the street using my name saying I have selected his services, just like he did with my neighbors' names.
