BYU a 10 point underdog at SMC
 

BYU is the third best team in an otherwise non-distinct conference. Weren't we supposed to dominate this conference? That is why we chose it, right?

SMC most likely defeats this unfocused, on-again off-again group.

Guilty of working in a nerdy profession. I will say I'm shocked at how little sense of humor the cougarboard crowd has today of Emery's instagram jab at St. Mary's small gym size. I thought it was pretty funny myself.

It will be decided because SMC has better spacing on offense than BYU can defend, and cannot keep Mika and Childs out of foul trouble. If Kaufusi can be inserted to pick up the first few cheap fouls, that might work here.

That was ugly. Randy Bennett coached circles around Rose. What an ugly horrible game by Rose and the boys.

Defense by BYU was horrible. Giving up wide open shots possession after possession.

Get this--BYU can't prevent penetration by a team of white boys.

You would think SMC is what BYU should be. A bunch of white kids who can play smart, shoot the ball. But that's not BYU.

The "Lone Peak 3" will not even challenge for the WCC title this year. I don't think BYU can beat Gonzaga on the road. So this means BYU won't have a good road win to add to their resume from here on. This was basically their last chance.

SMC carved BYU up like butter on Thanksgiving. The defensive rotations are abysmal. It was painful and ugly to watch. This team is maddening in that it has some pieces but refuses to play consistent defense.

Elijah Bryant actually created a glimpse that he might be able to contribute some day. RB outcoaches Rose almost every time.
