1310 The Ticket interviewing TCU AD

AD says no interest in expanding.

Also interviewed the basketball coach, Jamie Dixon.

You think of the divergent pathways of BYU and TCU since TCU went to the Big 12 and BYU went independent.

BYU is headed down, where we are now having "mainstream" BYU fans talking about the end of BYU sports.

Whereas TCU is on the ascendancy. Just won the NIT with their basketball team. Our coach still hasn't figured out that defense is half the game of basketball.

It's kind of depressing.

TCU is also playing in the Super Regional for a chance to play in the College World Series.

TCU is a smaller school in Fort Worth. There is no reason why BYU had to have this trajectory. One school made some decisions and another did not.

They also won the NIT. BYU players couldn't wait to lose the first game of the NIT so they could be done with the season
