What I love about CG compared to CB
 

Freedom of speech. I can pretty much say anything I want here.

On CB I am banned from any posts in the religion, politics, and current events categories.

And even if I weren't, I'd probably be suspended for ages.

I just don't like censoring myself that much. I respect his desire to maintain his website in a certain fashion, but boy, it's just not my style.

I like the part about being free from ultraconversative herd behavior.

Mike, when you did post in those categories you seemed to use the BofM prophet approach of boldly telling the worst of the herd mentality idiots exactly what they didn't want to hear. Those kinds of folks are just missing the mental screws to reason with those who don't agree with them or who might dare to present an alternative idea to anything. I'm not sure the posters who would get so bent of of shape are even the majority on there, but they tend to get the loudest. The funny thing to me was that nothing you would say was ever what I'd consider to be off the mainstream really -- at least not in the reality those not living in Utah County live in. I suspect el jefe banned you from certain topics not so much for what you'd say but to keep the knucklehead element from getting too unruly.

It doesn't really matter to me. Although sometimes I have questions that might best be answered by the herd, but I don't get the opportunity to ask those. Or reply to people with questions.

But whatever. Cougarboard is about making money for Jefe. It's a business.

CG is not a business. It loses money.
