Multiply and Replenish the Earth

Why are many religions so big on this concept, especially since the earth is already replenished?

Could it be that massive reproduction is the most effective way to increase the number of faithful tithe payers?

Sure, if you're a cynic.

What's your answer? Lots of spirits waiting for bodies?

You may have a different definition of "replenish" than they do. They apparently don't think the earth is replenished yet.

I don't think there's any doubt that this is the main reason. Without polygamy/tons of kids, the church wouldn't be nearly as big as it is now.

Yea that's insane. I can't imagine how deluded you'd have to be in order to believe that the world would be a better place with 17 more people who share your genes.

I don't know what that has to do with my point though.

Wow. At this point the husband would have to literally crawl into what is now assuredly a cavern to enjoy intercourse.

There is no single evidence here to let you conclude that I would believe having more kids would make world a better place ..but rather it provides a anecdotal reason to prove your comment about "without polygamy" could be inaccurate.

Why not? I believe there are plenty of spirits waiting for bodies that would like to come to a family where things are good.
