BBall like football is experiencing a downturn this year

with the loss of Plaisted, but not one comment on last night's improbable come back against SDSU, admittedly without one of its key players?

With eighteen minutes left BYU was down 14 to 15 points but the lads kept steady and finally came from behind on the road, no less.

Jimmer is far more consistent than either Cummard or Tavernari, who up til last night, had played a stretch of five consistent games. Cummard is a mystery.

Hartsock played some quality minutes.

Jimmer is a creative playmaker. Jimmer is a poor man's Bobby Hurley. If Jimmer had gotten himself onto a good east coast squad surrounded by some athletic ballplayers, he could have been a star.

Some day he may be the star which takes BYU to nirvanaland of the elusive Tourney win. but not this year, unless the Tourney gods bestow upon BYU a slow, team that can't jump, defend or run.
