My lady's ring is being fabricated right now...
 

unfortunately it won't be ready in time for this weekend so plans will have to amend and change.

Very interesting process, the jeweler from where we are purchasing the ring has a program from which he designs, modifies, changes the ring according to our taste. After the ring is complete, I approve/disapprove and it is placed into a machine that then fabricates the ring.

If I get computer savvy enough I'll post a picture of the ring here.

They are doing it with the new computer system and guess who is in charge? You got it, joe, aka fastest worker alive, so I can expect that it will take at least a month....

you have to give them a due date or it drags i promise

I told them the 27th, Joe, who was supposed to put the ring into the new program got too busy on Saturday now he won't finish it until tomorrow which means next weekend we will make it official...

8 mil thick...

The band lips in to the diamond, which sits off-set, it then elevates it about 3 mil to a bezel set.....

So the diamond sits off center in relation to the mounting.

It doesn't look like a wedding ring, which she likes, and in a couple of years when she wants a new setting, she can move her ring to the other hand....

how you going to ask her

Was going to head to Moab this weekend, we were going to ask you guys, but that fell through because of the delay in getting the ring programmed in....

Maybe now we'll head up adams canyon next week for a night hike and I'll do it up there by the waterfall...

Any ideas? Suggestions?
