Future of New Orleans is grim
 

Not because of lack of money, or the present destruction, but because of the lack of people.

I have yet to talk to anyone from N.O. who intends to go back. The poor especially, will not uproot themselves once again for the uncertainty of New Orleans. Families, too, will be reluctant to return without schools and infrastructures to support them.

The rich and the business class will return, but without the huddled masses to work for them, it will be difficult.

Hence the desperation, calling for casinos in New Orleans.

Politicians will and have given billions of dollars for reconstruction. But in the end, it's feet on the ground that matter. It doesn't look pretty for New Orleans' future.
