Maybe Mormon NFL players will sign similar contracts, where they are allowed to miss Sunday games. And only play on Monday, Thursday, or Saturday games.

Most people loving taking stands when it doesn't cost them anything.

It's the rare person who will throw away their livelihood or riches for the sake of a religious practice/custom.

But it's pretty awesome to get the Rugby Union to bow down to you.

It's kind of catch-22. You can't celebrate your Sunday athletes and also celebrate your athletes who refused to play on Sundays. There was the guy that was drafted by the Raiders and refused to play because of Sundays.
