My son and I have been sick the past few days. Yesterday the teacher's assistant in his 1st grade class called wondering why he hadn't been there.

"We was wondering where he's been," she said.

Now, I know that they don't require the assistants to have a college education, but would it be too much to ask for them to know how to conjugate a verb?

My son's education is in such good hands. :confused:
