Obama: selfishness is not a virtue

Answering criticisms of socialism from McCain, Obama says this:

Quote:

"The point is, though, that -- and it’s not just charity, it’s not just that I want to help the middle class and working people who are trying to get in the middle class -- it’s that when we actually make sure that everybody’s got a shot – when young people can all go to college, when everybody’s got decent health care, when everybody’s got a little more money at the end of the month – then guess what? ...

John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic. You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.
Unbelievable. If you don't want to let Obama take your money away and welfare to other people, you're selfish.

This guy really is a piece of work. He's feeling confident enough now to brandish his socialism more openly.

We wouldn't want to make an investment in the children of the poor, to try to help them become productive, tax-paying citizens, would we?

Yeah, who would want to base an economic system based off of trying to take care of your own needs?

Besides Adam Smith, I mean.

Don't we already do that?

I love this kind of demagoguery. It's so delightfully one-dimensional.

You saying your demagoguery has more than one dimension?

Not without a lot of whining from the right.

Yes. Well above your IQ.
