Modesty

First admission: I'm from the city of sin and skin, so maybe that warps my perspective.

However, sometimes it seems LDS are so worried about skin, rightly so in light of certain pronouncements, that we start taking shame of a certain wonderful tabernacle of flesh.

Yes we need to control our thoughts if we wish to go where we want to go. Otherwise we'll go where we ought to go.

Yet, hiding the beautiful frames some people possess is a bit of a crime, don't some think, or am I just a dirty old man? That may be beside the point. We won't go there.

Case in point, my spouse has a beautiful physique, at least from my point of view. So is she supposed to hide it in a burkha?

My daughter shouldn't be exposed certain parts, but I don't want her looking like a nun either.

I am sometimes confused by the hide the body thing, and wish there were a happy medium.

What made the belly button so offensive?

What made shoulders such a sex item?

Yes we guys are like dogs but shouldn't some thought control be in order without clothing oureselves, acting ashamed of the human form?

Strike me down, I'm completely skin deep.

You double-poster.

The thing I hate: people (both sexes) who wear clothes more appropriate for someone with a much better physique than they have.

In other words, if you've got love handles, lose the low-riders. They don't make you more sexy.

For much the same reason, I don't go around in tight-fitting tank tops. It's just not right.

And please, never, never, ever bring back tight pants or short shorts for guys! There is absolutely nothing redeeming about either of those.

I agree with SoCalCoug on this one. Women that weigh 250 pounds should not be wearing belly-shirts. It just doesn't look good and you're only embarrassing yourself. Same with men who wear a size smaller than they should.

What's worse is fat women in two piece swimming suits.

If I wanted to see rolls I'd go to a damn bakery!

Archaea, this is why God created women's beach volleyball.

what is the name of that indoor volleyball girl in the olympics, with short hair, jack Mormon.....I couldn't stop talking about her to my wife.

and the best part was when the announcers said she may be going to beach volleyball after the olympics, they both snickered.

btw, Arch, post a pic of your wife. I want to know if you are deluded or not.

First off no man should wear a tank top so you are right in not wearing. The rules for tank tops should be the only excuse for a man to wear them is if he is wearing a uniform for a sport, even then I'm still slightly against it.

Now as far as beach volleyball I think the proper term that I learned from the other site for it is porn volleyball.

If leather-skinned, flat-chested women do it for you, that's great!

mpfunk 08-20-2005 01:32 AM

Hey I'm a lonely loser so my standards have been lowered quite a bit. Unfortunately even with the lower standards I still have no success. Here is hoping when I get out of school I get a job that makes enough money that I can get a woman who will marry me for that. Either that or I can fall back on the only other thing I can offer a woman, citizenship.

What volleyball are you watching? I'll admit, I haven't watched since the Olympics but I don't remember many uglies.
