Tour de goatneck

In Cleburne, TX. 70 miles. Rolling hills.

About 20 miles from finish, after a pull, felt twitch in my quad. I spent the rest of the ride trying to prevent cramping. SLowed me down considerably.

I know the ups and downs for you guys would be nothing. But I mainly ride on flat courses. Plus I've hardly ridden this year.

I ended up doing it in about 4 hours even. Maybe slightly worse than last year, but I was riding more last year.

I sped up a tad at the finish, going to 23mph. As soon as I stopped and put a foot down to try and get off my bike, both quads cramped. Took me 2 minutes to get off my bike.

But overall a great ride.

If you're going to do and up and down course like that, the column on the left is my favorite part.

I can handle a hilly course that tops out at around 1000 feet.

I have no idea how my friends do those kinds of rides when they start at 5000.

Waters, you're putting on some good miles lately. What gives? The whole basketball thing not working out, or this in addition to hoops?
